Professor Armin Dekorsy , head of the department of communications engineering (ANT), gave a presentation on November 6th in the 5th NTN Workshop: Towards a unified TN-NTN system held at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin.
The workshop organized by, Guta (Gouta) Maria from European Space Agency - ESA , Adam Kapovits from Eurescom GmbH and Marius Corici from Fraunhofer FOKUS, brought together experts from academia and industry to discuss recent advances in integrating terrestrial and satellite communication systems.
Professor Dekorsy presented Department of Communications Engineering (ANT) of University of Bremen latest research results on advancing 3D networks through machine learning, highlighting the contributions of the ANT Hertz-Lamarr Lab and the ANT OpenLab "3D Networks" Outdoor Experimental Field.
By emerging hashtag3GPP hashtag6G standardization, machine learning plays a key role in enabling seamless integration between terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks. It supports the realization of 3D networks by optimizing dynamic resource allocation, interference management, and adaptive beamforming across diverse environments.
