Third Prize for a Four-minute presentation by IEEE Communications Society at GLOBECOM 2024 in Cape Town.

We are thrilled to announce our colleague Nasrin Razmi has won the Third Prize for a Four-minute presentation by IEEE Communications Society among other researchers across the world in IEEE GLOBECOM 2024 in Cape Town.

Nasrin Razmi is a PhD candidate at University of Bremen excellence chair co supervised by Bho Matthiesen, Petar Popovski, and Armin Dekorsy.

They are performing research for Federated_Learning on the satellite constellations with focus on LEO Satellites, from an Energy efficiency and scheduling point of view.Their work addresses key challenges in energy efficiency and scheduling, which are crucial for optimizing the operation of large-scale satellite networks. This research underscores the pivotal role of distributed Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of satellite mega constellations—one of the foundational pillars for 6G communication systems. By enabling more efficient and intelligent coordination among satellites, their findings pave the way for energy-conscious and scalable next-generation networks.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Nasrin and the team for this well-deserved recognition!
